Regional General Manager
Purpose of Position
- The Regional General Manager leads and owns the performance of a regional business unit end-to-end — commercial, operational, financial, people and safety. The role translates Group strategy into a regional operating plan and delivers it through a network of branches, a regional sales and operational team, and shared-service partners.
Qualifications
- Required: Grade 12.
- Minimum: Relevant Tertiary Qualification (NQF 7) in business, engineering, commerce equivalent.
- Preferred: Post-Graduate Business Qualification (MBA or NQF8/9).
- Required on appointment: Valid driver's license, OHS Act s.16(2) designation will be formalized at appointment.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years accountable for a P&L at amulti-site or regional level.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering on, and growing revenue, EBITDA and ROIC across a rental, capital-equipment, industrial-services or similar asset-intensive business.
- Experience leading both commercial and operations disciplines (not exclusively one); comfortable reading a balance sheet and running a workshop review.
- Exposure to mining, construction, or heavy industrial end-markets is strongly preferred; MEWP / access-equipment experience is an advantage, not a prerequisite.
