Technical Support Specialist
Purpose of Position
- To be the technical specialist for all types of machines and equipment across all machine types and brands.
- To provide specialist technical support, advice, and assistance to customers, field service technicians and workshop staff.
- To ensure proper machine and equipment operations so that field service technicians and other end users can accomplish functional tasks.
- To provide technical support for customers, field service technicians and workshop staff.
Qualifications
- Grade 12/ N3
- Qualified Tradesman, i.e., Millwright, Electrician/ Auto Electrician
Experience
- 8 years experience in technical operations or related environment
Knowledge Requirement
- Knowledge of work of height machinery and equipment
- Industry specific knowledge i.e., mining, construction, light & heavy industrial.
- OSHAS and safety industry regulations
- PDI system
- Knowledge of Linde equipment regarding operations, functions, technical functions, parts, and tools including a comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, engine mechanics, electrical, electronics and technical schematics
- Mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and electronic tooling knowledge
- Knowledge of mechanical inspections, tools, and analysers
