Group Transport Manager
Purpose of Position
- Manage and optimise the company's entire fleet of vehicles (company owned and leased) to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective use of vehicles across multiple locations.
- Manage and optimise outsourced service provider costs and effectiveness.
- Manage service provider SLAs (e.g. DP World Logistics).
- Provide solutions-based advice, support and continuous improvement solutions to the company.
- Financial and budget management.
- Support the SHEQ department in targeting zero vehicle related incidents through monitoring and managing the Optix Drive Cam, Mix telematics, and safety incident reports.
- Assist and support the operations to deliver effectively on all vehicle and transport requirements to meet the business and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree or diploma in Transport Management, Fleet Management, or Logistics Management.
- A relevant post-graduate qualification will be advantageous
Experience
- 10 years’ transport management experience for a vehicle fleet of 180 or more vehicles, with minimum 5 years’ experience at a middle management level.
- Successful management of an outsourced transport service provider.
- Successful management of a fleet of leased vehicles.
- A proven track record of effective and efficient cost management.
