Eazi Access Supports No Violence Against Women and Children Initiatives

Apr 15, 2025

Eazi Access is Africa’s market leader in work-at-height and material-handling solutions, celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2024. The business has been founded on strong values, being respect, integrity, inclusiveness, responsiveness, and safety. It is paramount that safety remains the core of all business activities for both employees and customers alike. Like any business, it cannot exist outside of a community, as such Eazi Access is committed to giving back to the community which it operates within. Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give’’.

During the past financial year, Eazi Access have supported various NGO’s who actively promote saying No to Violence Against Women and Children Abuse with a particular emphasis on Shelter & Care (physical & emotional) for Homeless Women and Children initiatives. This decision was motivated by the alarming statistics, of how the most vulnerable in our society are violated instead of being protected. South Africa has some of the highest rates of gender-based violence worldwide, including rape, female homicide, and domestic abuse.

Data compiled by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012 reported that approximately 60 000 women and children are victims of domestic abuse in South Africa every month, which is the highest reported rate globally.

In support of this cause, Eazi Access has partnered with four entities, which shelters either women or children or both parties who are victims of violence. These include AMCARE, Chubby Chums, Manger Care Centre and the New Jerusalem Children’s Home.  Eazi Access has donated R89 950 to each beneficiary to help promote the safety and the personal development of their beneficiaries. Both Manger Care Centre and the New Jerusalem Children’s Home have been existing beneficiaries of Eazi Access for many years. Eazi Access is excited to have two new beneficiaries on board promoting this worthy cause namely, AMCARE and Chubby  Chums. Our Eazi Access team went to visit each NGO to learn about their projects and to witness first-hand the difference they are making in our communities.  The team had a wonderful day spending time with everyone, doing the official handover and delivering additional donated goodies such groceries and home utensils.

According to Tralone Lindiwe Khoza, Eazi Access PR & Communications Specialist, “As a business we get so many requests from the community asking for our support. We have taken a focused approach selecting a theme each year to support and then going through a rigorous verification process aligning our chosen beneficiaries to the selected theme. Saying No to Women & Child Abuse is an incredible cause and we proud to have raised awareness as well as contribute to this worthy cause”.

Each beneficiary has a special focus area and role they contribute to the broad community:

AMCARE :

Amcare is a Non-Profit organisation dedicated to the needs of all people made vulnerable due to poverty, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and advanced age. Amcare Victim Empowerment centre provides safety, support and dignity to abused women and children catering for all kinds of abuse such as physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Marihet Infantino, General Manager of AMCARE, extended  her gratitude on behalf of her management of AMCARE, “A big thank you to Eazi Access, you don’t realise the impact of your generous donation to  our organisation, it will go a long way to support the women and the children at our shelter. The donation came at a time whereby one main sponsor had not donated to us, to a point that were behind with salaries for our staff, thank you once again Eazi Access.”

CHUBBY CHUMS:

Chubby Chums is a Child Protection Organisation which helps address the needs of the many children left destitute by poverty, disease and abuse.

MANGER CARE CENTRE:

Manger Care Centre is a Benoni based charity organisation which creates a loving environment and a home for people that are shunned from society.

NEW JERUSALEM’S CHILDREN HOME:

New Jerusalem Children’s Home is a Midrand based shelter that provides a place of safety for abandoned, abused, orphaned and vulnerable children. They have built a school and multipurpose area within its yard to provide a full Montessori primary education to all learners.

Eazi Access is proud to have made a difference to women and children’s lives within its surrounding communities who have been impacted by senseless violence and abuse. We look forward to continually making a difference in our communities and supporting worthy causes in our new financial year. We believe in the words of Mahatma Gandhi which says, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
