Business Development Specialist: Construction & Energy
Purpose of Position
- Drive strategic growth within the Construction & Energy sectors by identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities across rental, aftersales and equipment sales, while enabling regional sales success and profitability.
Qualifications
- Grade 12/N3
- Recommended: Sales/ Business Development related Tertiary Qualification
Experience
- 6 years’ experience at a senior level with minimum 3 years’ proven track record in Business Development in the assigned sector e.g., Mining, Construction, heavy industrial, and Energy
- Experience in Relevant Sector.
- Working in a CRM environment will be advantageous.
Knowledge Requirement
- Develop and execute sector-specific business development strategy.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities into revenue.
- Support regional sales teams and enable pipeline growth.
- Develop and evaluate business cases including ROIC.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and industry developments.
- Build and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships.
